The K-Gauge Sensor Reliability application compares actual operational data with factory calibration reference values and provides an accurate evaluation of sensor performance. The software utilizes KONGSBERG extensive expertise in sensor production and in-house technology, combined with current and historical data, to provide confidence in the measured data onboard your vessel. As maritime instrumentation is particularly exposed to severe conditions like constant vibrations, heavy seas, extreme temperatures and potentially explosive atmospheres, the condition of the sensor will be influenced.

HOW IT WORKS
Sensor information is continuously logged and stored in a database. Dynamic data like maximum exposed pressures and temperatures, sensor ageing and drift, radar reflection curves and signal condition states are collected. The application extracts the data, analyze health condition, and monitor the status of each sensor.
Radar tank gauges: Contamination influence the stability of measurements. By monitoring contamination, simple cleaning can be planned and performed when required.
Pressure transmitters: Logging of maximum exposed values and pressure shocks support the understanding of the process dependencies and offers insight and more parameters for operational procedures.
Static data like serial number, SW version and type designation are also stored for easy identification, spare part support and life cycle management.
